BioFibreLoop participated in a joint webinar on 10th March 2026, hosted by the EU project FlashPhos, together with Dust2Value, highlighting the growing role of Digital Twins in industrial innovation and circular economy solutions. The webinar showcased how Digital Twins, virtual representations of industrial processes, are already being used to simulate, analyse, and optimise complex systems, reducing the need for costly and time-consuming physical testing.
For BioFibreLoop, the discussion underlined the importance of Digital Twins as a collaborative tool, enabling partners from different disciplines to jointly develop and improve bio-based and circular textile processes. BioFibreLoo’s approach on a Digital Twin was presented by FFrancisco Daniel García Romero from IDENER.
Beyond process optimisation, the webinar also demonstrated how Digital Twins support faster scale-up, better decision-making, and improved sustainability assessments, making them a key enabler for bringing innovative solutions closer to industrial application.
The exchange confirmed that Digital Twins are becoming an essential component in advancing circular and data-driven innovation across sectors, including sustainable textiles.
