The work packages are as followed:

WP1

Leader: DITF
Objective: To validate and upgrade the biomimetic functionalisation of 3 bio-based materials at fabric level in a continuous production.

WP2

Leader: IDENER
Objective: To develop, integrate and optimise digital twins and tools for the coating, laser engraving and embossing processes to enable the fast and effective development of the BioFibreLoop products.

WP3

Leader: VTT
Objective: To successfully validate the recyclability of the three bio-based functionalised materials on lab and pilot scale.

WP4

Leader: NFA
Objective: To perform life cycle and overall safety and sustainability assessments of the 3 BioFibreLoop product lines, ensuring circularity and reduction of impacts on human health and environment, considering the goals of the European Green Deal and the Safe and Sustainable by Design (SSbD) framework.

WP5

Leader: NIL
Objective: To demonstrate the technology for biomimetic functionalisation in operational environment at TRL 7 (functionalisation yield of 10 m/min and 50 cm width).

WP6

Leader: Steinbeis
Objective: To maximise the impact of the project outcomes and enable to exploit its solutions.

WP7

Leader: DITF
Objective: To safeguard the effective coordination and collaboration among project partners and monitor project progress.
